The form testing unit of the RME model series is a new complete measuring system from ess Mikromechanik GmbH for rotationally symmetrical solids. This small and universal measuring device has been developed on the basis of standard components. It enables the extremely quick and easy measurement of dimensional accuracies with the highest precision. The ess specific drive unit guarantees extremely constant rotation. This is required for the optionally available software analysis via an encoder system. ess air bearings ensure radial and lateral run-out accuracies of up to 0,25µm.
